A day hike from the Pictographs in Blair Valley to Whale Peak - Anza Borrego Park. Approximately 8 miles round-trip with 2300 feet of elevation Gain. Hiking time - 5.5 hours.

KathyWing > It's hard to see with all the dust (I think the dust is from the off-road vehicles), but the Salton Sea is in the distance. I understand wanting to travel on the backcountry roads in 4WD vehicle to see more of the beauty of the desert, but it doesn't seem like a lot of fun to drag a huge motorhome out to the desert just to ride an ATV around in circles. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
