Mount Muir (14012') 7/18/2010

An day hike up the Main Whitney Trail to just under Mount Muir, and from there was just a matter of scrambling up the hill to Mount Muir, which sits about 300' higher than where you leave the trail. The last part of the scramble is Class 3, but pretty easy to get up if you find the way that's best for you. 9.25 each way with 5900' gain on the way up and 300' gain on the way out; so a total of 18.5 miles and 6200' elevation gain.
